Theta Tau
Theta Tau is a co-ed professional engineering fraternity for engineering and computer science undergraduates at University of San Diego. Every spring semester, the fraternity has "rush," a 3-day process during which fraternities are actively trying to students. The "rush theme," is an artistic and fun portrayal of the organization. The rush theme in 2019 was Technology through the Ages. All items were designed using Adobe Photoshop.

Introduction
As an engineering undergrad, I was an active member in Theta Tau and consistently contributed toward our rush themes while I was head of the marketing team.
Theta Tau's overall goal was to recruit students via social media and print signage in a visually stimulating way. I conceptualized the theme; Technology Through the Ages because what better way to demonstrate artistic engineering than vintage media!
Research & Inspiration
My goal was to create unique and custom Theta Tau branding to stop students in their tracks and join our fraternity. I researched current media that utilizes older technology for inspiration.
Apparel
The first day the entire organization wears the same t-shirt so I designed this t-shirt below to represent late 70's tech.
Marketing and Social Media
To recruit more students I leveraged social media. I took into consideration the symbols of Theta Tau, such as fraternities signature flower the dark red rose which I used as a facebook banner. Then for instagram, I added a personal touch, the 3 people below were the executive board at the time so I designed them to be an instagram profile picture.
Marketing and Social Media continued
These two items below are are a print and an instagram story. I wanted to portray music hardware through the ages as well as maintaining brand consistency.
Key Takeaways
I had a lot of fun developing and designing this theme! Leveraging this social media branding contributed to our goal of recruiting students.
