INTERVIEW RESULTS

Our interviews were conducted in person at Bayside Community Center. Altogether our team interviewed four employees working for Bayside: Kim Heinle, Linnea Rhodin-Bibby, Tomasa Velediaz, and Amy Zink.

The goal of each interview was to gather qualitative data to create our persona and further shape our design challenge statement. Overall we found that even though all of them come from different backgrounds they share the same hopes and passions for their beloved workplace. They can use their talent of gardening to help those in need. In light of the current move, we also asked them what their concerns for Bayside are.

All responded in a similar way. In the short term, they understand that there will be difficulties in where the garden will continue and its organization in the move. However, in the long term they are excited for what Bayside’s future might hold. They see the center becoming something that the community creates and shapes together. On top of that, they see the garden producing more food and expanding provide more area/plots in their garden for people in the community to grow their own food.
