FEEDBACK

In order to make sure this prototype will work for Karmin, we tested the green pipe (MGS) with various users on campus.

Unfortunately due to the move, we were not able to get ahold of Amy, Linnea, or other employees of Bayside to test our prototype. The users that we tested where John Loggins and the people of the Gardening club. Their motivations and goals align with Karmin’s and so they fall into the niche of the users we would have tested if Bayside were not in the process of moving. John Loggins, the Director of the Center for Community Service-Learning, helps Linda Vista by organizing volunteers for various programs in the community and often volunteers himself. How the Gardening club members parallel Bayside users is self explanatory. They tend to plants and have gardening knowledge just like the employees at Bayside.

For each user that we tested we filled out a user testing sheet. We filled it out while they were exploring our prototype in order for us to figure out any details that may seem unclear with our design.

Above is Brian, our team captain, explaining our design to several members of the Garden Club.

PROPOSED REVISIONS

Within the feedback phase of the UCD-process we also consider the revisions of our prototype to make sure the final product assesses Karmin's needs. After hearing several opinions from different users we utilized design change forms, which detail specifically the changes that will be happening with an explanation as to why include this change. This way all members of our team are aware of these revisions and why they are necessary.

They can be found here:

We hope to see the MGS successfully implemented after Bayside Community Center's transition to their new location. Our team gained valuable experiences while working with Amy and Linnea and we hope we to have made their lives easier!

Meet the team that made all of this possible!
